We want to dive in with you one last time – into the adventure, the silence of the lake, and the power of competition.

1. Highlights 2026

• The 2025 course will be enhanced with an exciting swim along the cliff faces of the Lichtenfels ruins
• Get-together on June 27 with Parade of Nations and race briefing
• Presentation of top favorites
• All athletes who have completed five SwimRun events receive one free entry of their choice

• All marathon winners, and thus the Knights and Dames of Ottenstein, receive a 21% bonus

• At the end of the Marathon awards ceremony, there will be a big raffle

• Over the coming months, we will promote several anecdote stories with exciting prizes to be won

The course includes 6 run segments and 5 swim segments, providing plenty of variety.

• Longest run: 5200 m
• Total swim: 2800 m
• Total run: 12.55 km
• Total distance: 15.5 km
• Elevation gain: approx. 290 m

Friday, June 26

• General race briefing (location and travel info): 5:00 PM
  → via Facebook livestream (also available as a recording afterward)

Saturday, June 27

• Registration: 6:00 – 7:00 PM
• Parade of Nations followed by race briefing: 7:00 PM

Sunday, June 28

• Registration SwimRun Sprint: 8:15 – 9:00 AM
• Sprint race start: 9:25 AM
• Finish line open from 10:30 AM (Sprint)
• Award ceremony: after last Sprint participants, approx. 1:30 PM

Team

• Teams are ranked in male / female / mixed categories
• Additional ranking based on combined age: up to 89 and 90+

Solo

• Male / Female:
  Age groups 16–39 and 40+

5. Notes

• Water temperature: The Ottenstein Reservoir typically reaches 23–25°C
  → Final information on gear/clothing requirements will be provided one week before race day
• Course marking: Unfortunately, markings are sometimes removed.
  Therefore, we will implement triple markings:
  → Ribbons, ground markings, and signs
• All rules and regulations will be published in due time.
